§ 12219 License Nontransferability

• •A license stays with the person it was issued to.
• •You cannot give, sell, or assign the license to another person.
• •If you let someone else use it, you would be breaking the law.

You have a fishing license, and your neighbor asks to use it for a weekend trip.

Because the license can't be transferred, you must keep it for yourself and can't let your neighbor use it.
