§ 8602 Net Mesh Size Measurement

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about measuring the size of holes in nets.
  • •To check the size, you take at least four holes in the net.
  • •You measure the holes from the inside where they connect.
  • •The holes should be pulled tight when you measure them.

Example

A fisherman wants to make sure his fishing net follows the rules.

He picks four holes in the net, pulls them tight, and measures the inside of each hole where they connect. This tells him if the net meets the size rules.
