§ 8182 Anchovy Boat Identification Requirements

• •If you're fishing for anchovies in certain waters, your boat must show its registration number.
• •The number must be big (14-inch tall), black, and on a white background.
• •You have to put this number in three places: both sides of the boat and the top where it can be seen from the air.

You own a boat and go fishing for anchovies off the coast of California.

You must paint your boat's registration number in big black numbers on a white background on both sides of your boat and the top of the cabin so it can be seen from the air. If you don't, you could get in trouble.
