§ 4805 Mountain Lion Depredation Permit

Key Takeaways

  • •If a mountain lion is causing trouble (like attacking animals), the government can quickly say it's okay to go after it.
  • •They can give permission over the phone first, but they have to give a written permit later.
  • •This is only for the specific mountain lion causing the problem, not any mountain lion.

Example

A mountain lion keeps killing a farmer's sheep.

The farmer can call the government, and they can say 'yes, go after that mountain lion' right away. But they still have to send a written permit later.
