§ 2007 Trap Gun Prohibition

• •Setting, placing, or causing a trap gun to be set up is illegal.
• •A trap gun is a real gun (not blanks) that is attached to a string or similar device that makes it fire on its own.
• •If you do this, you can be prosecuted under this statute.

A person ties a string to a loaded pistol and hides it in the woods hoping it will shoot an animal that walks by.

Because the gun is loaded with real bullets and will fire when the string is tugged, the law says that person is breaking the rule and could be charged.
