§ 1906 Native Plant Conservation Authority

• •The department may collect any native plant species.
• •It can import, grow, and give out those native plants.
• •No other law can block the department from doing these things.

A state park wants to collect seeds from a native wildflower, grow more in a greenhouse, and then plant them in other parks.

Because the law says the department can take, grow, and share native plants for scientific or spreading purposes, the park can do this without worrying about other laws stopping it.
