§ 1345 Wildlife And Recreation Lands

This law says a state board must study the land and decide which areas are best for wildlife, hunting, fishing and public recreation.

Key Takeaways

  • •The board has to research and decide which lands are best for wildlife and recreation.
  • •It must think about where people need places to fish and hunt.
  • •The board works together with the state wildlife department when making these decisions.

Example

A town wants to open a new fishing pond. The board looks at all the state’s lakes and streams, decides which ones are good for fishing, and picks the one that will give the most people a chance to fish.

The board checks the land, works with the wildlife department, and chooses the spot that needs public fishing access the most.
