§ 10507 Transporting Wildlife Through Refuges

• •You must give the notice described in Section 10506 before moving the animal.
• •The animal has to be taken legally from outside the refuge.
• •Carry the animal openly, not hidden.
• •Do it only between one hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset.

A hunter legally harvests a deer on land outside a game refuge, files the notice required by Section 10506, and then drives the deer through the refuge on a public road during the day.

Because the hunter gave the proper notice, the deer was taken legally outside the refuge, and it is being carried openly between sunrise and sunset, the law says this is allowed.
