§ 3900 Parental Support Responsibility

• •Both mom and dad must take care of their kid until the kid is grown up.
• •They have to give the kid what they need, like food, clothes, and a place to live.
• •Both parents have to do this equally, unless a judge says something different.

A mom and dad are divorced. The kid lives with the mom, but the dad has to help too.

Even if the parents don’t live together, they both have to pay for the kid’s stuff, like school supplies or a winter coat. If the dad doesn’t help, he could get in trouble.
