§ 17202 Department Child Support Administration

This law says the state has one main group in charge of making sure kids and spouses get the money they need for support, like food and medical care. It also helps figure out who the dad is if that's not clear.

Key Takeaways

  • •The state has one main group to handle child and spouse support money.
  • •This group also helps figure out who the dad is if it's not known.
  • •They work with other groups if they need to, but they're the main ones in charge.

Example

A mom needs money from the dad to help raise their kid.

The state has a special group that will help make sure the dad pays what he should for the kid's food, clothes, and doctor visits. They can also help prove who the dad is if needed.
