§ 79841 Commission Board Quorum Rules

• •A quorum means more than half of the voting members must be there to make decisions.
• •If more than half are there, they can vote on things.
• •Most of the time, if more than half of those present agree, the decision is made.

Imagine a school club with 5 leaders. To decide on a new rule, at least 3 leaders must be at the meeting.

If 3 or more leaders are there, they can vote. If most of them (like 2 out of 3) agree on the new rule, it passes.
