§ 79164 Fisherman Commission Eligibility Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If you break fishing rules (not just paperwork mistakes), you can't join the fishing commission for 2 years.
  • •If you're already on the commission and break fishing rules, you get kicked out right away.
  • •Small mistakes like filling out forms wrong don’t count—only big rule breaks matter.

Example

A fisherman gets caught using illegal nets to catch extra fish.

Because he broke a big fishing rule, he can’t run for the fishing commission for 2 years. If he was already on it, he’d have to leave immediately.
