§ 78941 Winegrape Reporting Violations

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't lie on reports about winegrapes to avoid paying fees.
  • •You must give all required reports about winegrapes when asked.
  • •You have to share who you bought or sold winegrapes to and how much.
  • •You can't hide, destroy, or change records about winegrapes.

Example

A grape farmer sells 10 tons of grapes but tells the commission they only sold 5 tons to pay less in fees.

This is breaking the law because the farmer lied on the report to avoid paying the full fee. They must tell the truth about how many grapes they sold.
