§ 76089 Cherry Commission Audit Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission must keep good records of all its work.
  • •Every year, an outside company checks these records to make sure everything is correct.
  • •A short report of this check is sent to cherry farmers, the government, and the department.
  • •The director can also do extra checks if they think it's needed.

Example

Imagine a group that helps cherry farmers sell their cherries.

This group must write down everything they do with money and other important stuff. Every year, a different company looks at these notes to make sure they didn't make mistakes or do anything wrong. Then, they tell the cherry farmers and the government what they found. If the boss thinks something is fishy, they can check again.
