§ 75059 Commission Vacancy Appointment Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone leaves the commission (like quits, dies, or can't do the job anymore), the rest of the group picks a new person to finish the job.
  • •The new person must meet all the same rules as the person they're replacing.
  • •The group has to write down that the new person is qualified, and the boss can say no if they think the person isn’t right for the job.

Example

Imagine a school club where one of the leaders moves away.

The rest of the club members vote to pick a new leader to finish the year. The new leader has to follow all the same club rules as the old one. The teacher in charge checks to make sure the new leader is allowed to be in the club.
