§ 72059 Commission Corporate Powers Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission is like a company—it can sue people or be sued itself.
  • •It can make deals (contracts) with others, just like a business.
  • •Its official records can be used in court as proof of what happened.

Example

If the commission signs a contract to buy office supplies, and the supplier doesn’t deliver, the commission can take them to court.

Because the commission acts like a company, it can make legal deals and fight in court if someone breaks their promise.
