§ 653 Department Space Rentals

• •The department can team up with another group (Department of General Services) to rent out extra space they don’t need.
• •This other group can also help take care of and manage buildings the department owns.

Imagine a school has extra classrooms it doesn’t use. Instead of leaving them empty, the school can ask a property manager to rent them out to others.

The department can do the same thing—if they have extra space in their buildings, they can work with another group to rent it out and manage it.
