§ 64110 Council Quorum Requirements

• •Most of the council members must be present to make decisions or choose leaders.
• •If not enough members are there, they can't do official business.
• •This rule helps make sure big decisions aren't made by just a few people.

A city council has 7 members. Only 3 show up to a meeting.

They can't vote on new rules or pick a new leader because they need at least 4 members (more than half) to be there.
