§ 6344 Quarantine Storage For Shipments

• •The boss (director or commissioner) can say it's okay to keep the shipment if it won't hurt the farms in the state.
• •The shipment can stay in this special place only if it's going to be fixed (treated) or sent out of the state soon.
• •The boss can set rules on where and how long the shipment can stay.

A truck brings a bunch of oranges from another state, but the boss thinks they might have bad bugs.

The boss can say it's okay to keep the oranges in a special warehouse for a few days if they promise to either clean the bugs off or send the oranges to another state. The boss can also say where the oranges must stay and for how long.
