§ 60013 Marketing Program Violation Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •If you break the rules of an approved marketing program, you can be fined up to $2,500 for each mistake.
  • •The fine can be given by the director or the affected group, and the money is used to cover the director's costs.
  • •Each day you break the rule counts as a new mistake, so you could be fined multiple times.

Example

A farmer doesn't follow the rules of a state-approved program for selling oranges.

If the farmer breaks the rules, like selling oranges at the wrong time or price, they could be fined $2,500 for each day they do it. The money from the fine goes to the director to help run the program.
