§ 59918 Major Marketing Program Amendments

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about big changes to farming rules for things like fruits or nuts.
  • •A 'major amendment' means adding or removing rules about pulling out trees or vines to control how much of a crop is grown.
  • •It’s only for programs that manage how much farmers can produce.

Example

A group of orange farmers wants to grow fewer oranges to keep prices high.

If they make a big change to their rules, like forcing farmers to pull out some orange trees, this law says that’s a 'major amendment' and needs special attention.
