§ 59646 Handler Producer Reporting Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Handlers (people who buy and sell farm products) must give a report to the director.
  • •The report must include the handler's name and address.
  • •The report must show how much of the product they bought, where it came from, and who grew it.
  • •This helps the director keep track of who is growing and selling what in a certain area.

Example

A company buys apples from farmers to sell in stores.

The company must tell the director how many apples they bought, which farmers they bought them from, and where those farmers are located. This helps the director know who is growing apples in the area.
