§ 57507 Lien Debtor Feed Charges

Key Takeaways

  • •If you and the buyer agree on a price for feed or materials, that’s the price they pay.
  • •If there’s no agreed price, the buyer pays what’s fair for the feed or materials on the day they get it.
  • •The price is based on what the buyer asked for, not what the seller wants to charge.

Example

A farmer asks a store for 10 bags of animal feed, but they don’t talk about the price.

The farmer has to pay what’s fair for the feed on the day it’s delivered, even if they didn’t agree on a price before.
