§ 5575 Property Citation Service Rules

• •You must give a copy of the citation and petition to the property owner or the person in charge of the property.
• •This must be done at least 10 days before the date mentioned in the citation.
• •You can also give the copies to an agent of the owner or the person in charge.

If the city says your house is unsafe and gives you a paper saying you have to fix it by a certain date.

They must give you that paper at least 10 days before the date they say you have to fix the house. They can give it to you, the person living there, or even your lawyer if you have one.
