§ 55603 Packout Contract Grade Determination

Key Takeaways

  • •If a farmer and a company agree on a certain quality for crops, the quality is checked after the company processes the crops.
  • •The check happens when the processing is done, not before.
  • •This rule makes sure everyone agrees on the quality after the work is finished.

Example

A farmer grows tomatoes and sells them to a sauce company. They agree the tomatoes must be ripe and red.

The company will check if the tomatoes are ripe and red after they make the sauce, not when they first get the tomatoes.
