§ 5555 Nuisance Abatement Enforcement

Key Takeaways

  • •If you get a warning about a problem on your property (like trash or broken stuff), you have to fix it in the time given.
  • •If you don’t fix the problem on time, the city can step in and fix it for you.
  • •You might have to pay for the city’s work if they have to fix your problem.

Example

Your yard is full of old cars and trash, and the city sends you a letter saying you have 30 days to clean it up.

If you don’t clean up your yard in 30 days, the city can come in, clean it up themselves, and send you the bill.
