§ 53304 Nursery Stock Grade Standards

Key Takeaways

  • •This law defines what 'grade size' means for plants sold in nurseries.
  • •It includes things like how tall or wide a plant is, its age, and how healthy it looks.
  • •The grade size helps people know what they’re buying when they get plants.

Example

You go to a nursery to buy a small tree for your backyard.

The tag on the tree says it’s a '5-gallon, Grade #1' tree. This means the tree is a certain size and quality, so you know what to expect when you take it home.
