§ 52863 Cotton Handler Definitions

“Handlers of raw cotton fiber” or “merchant” means any person or organization that is primarily engaged in the business of buying and selling spot cotton or forward contract cotton. (Amended by Stats. 2008, Ch. 189, Sec. 4. Effective January 1, 2009. Conditionally inoperative on January 1, 2014, as prescribed in Section 52991.)
