§ 3961 Board Member Term Staggering

Key Takeaways

  • •The first board members don't all start and end at the same time.
  • •The Governor decides who starts and ends when.
  • •Some groups of 2 and one group of 3 will finish their time on January 15th each year.

Example

Imagine a school club with 7 leaders.

The principal (like the Governor) picks when each leader stops being in charge. Some groups of 2 leaders and one group of 3 leaders will finish their jobs on January 15th every year. This way, not everyone leaves at once.
