§ 35228 Butter Distribution Fees

Key Takeaways

  • •If you sell butter, you need a permit.
  • •You pay $1 plus extra money based on how much butter you sell every 3 months.
  • •The extra money is 20 cents for every 1,000 pounds of butter you sell over 5,000 pounds.
  • •You pay this money in the first week of March, June, September, and December.

Example

If you sell 7,000 pounds of butter in 3 months.

You pay $1 for the permit, plus 20 cents for the extra 2,000 pounds (since 7,000 - 5,000 = 2,000). That means you pay $1 + $0.40 = $1.40.
