§ 33223 Milk Producer Permit Exemption

• •If a milk producer gets a permit from one approved milk inspector, they don’t need another permit from a different inspector.
• •The permit must come from a milk inspection service that the secretary (a government official) has approved.
• •This rule applies to producers of both market milk (milk sold to people) and manufacturing milk (milk used to make other products like cheese).

A dairy farmer gets a permit from a state-approved milk inspector to sell milk to stores.

The farmer doesn’t need to get another permit from a different inspector in the same state. The first permit is enough.
