§ 31643 Dangerous Dog Relocation Notice

• •If your dog is labeled 'potentially dangerous,' you must tell animal control if the dog dies.
• •You also have to tell them if you sell, give away, or move the dog to a different city or county.
• •You must send this info in writing within two work days.

You have a dog that has been called 'potentially dangerous' by the city. You decide to give the dog to your friend who lives in another town.

You must write to the animal control office within two work days to tell them you gave the dog away and where your friend lives.
