§ 31507 Livestock Summons Service Rules

• •Anyone over 18 can hand over a summons, or it can be sent by registered mail to the last known address of the owner or person in charge.
• •The owner of the hurt animals or the person who complains has to pay for the costs of the summons.

Your neighbor's cow gets hurt because you didn't fix your fence. The neighbor wants to tell you officially that you need to pay for the cow's vet bills.

Your neighbor can ask any adult to give you the official papers, or send them by registered mail to your last known address. You have to pay for the cost of sending those papers because you own the fence that caused the problem.
