§ 29733 Honey Nuisance Condemnation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone sells honey that doesn't meet the rules, they get a warning to fix it.
  • •If they don't fix the honey after the warning, the government can take it away.
  • •A court can decide to destroy the bad honey or let it go if the owner promises to follow the rules.
  • •If the honey isn't worth much money, the case goes to a special small claims court.

Example

A store sells honey in dirty jars with wrong labels.

The government tells the store to clean the jars and fix the labels. If the store doesn't do it, the government can take the honey and ask a court to destroy it or make the store follow the rules.
