§ 2276 Agricultural Pest Control Consultation

Key Takeaways

  • •The agriculture boss must talk to experts to learn about new bugs that hurt crops and better ways to stop them.
  • •The boss can travel outside the county to learn these things, but only if the local leaders say it's okay.
  • •The experts include people from the U.S. and state agriculture departments, the University of California, and other county agriculture bosses.

Example

A new type of bug starts eating all the strawberries in the county.

The agriculture boss can call up experts from the University of California or even visit another county to learn how to stop the bug from ruining the strawberries. But first, the boss needs to ask the local leaders if it's okay to make the trip.
