§ 2181 County Commissioner Misconduct Hearings

Key Takeaways

  • •If a county commissioner does a bad job, doesn't do their job, or behaves badly, there can be a special meeting to talk about it.
  • •A group called the 'trial board' will listen to the problem and decide what to do.
  • •The meeting is set up by either the Secretary (for food and farming problems) or the Director (for pesticide problems).

Example

A county commissioner keeps ignoring reports of unsafe pesticide use on farms.

If someone proves the commissioner isn't doing their job, a trial board will have a meeting to figure out what should happen next.
