§ 19433 Fee And Assessment Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The person in charge can set fees or charges for certain things, but not for licenses.
  • •These fees can be changed whenever the person in charge thinks it's needed.
  • •The fees might include extra money saved up for later if the person in charge thinks it's important.

Example

Imagine you pay a fee to use a public park for a picnic.

The person in charge of the park can decide how much you pay to use it. They can change the fee if they think it’s too low or too high. They might also add a little extra to the fee to save money for fixing the park later.
