§ 17125 Trinity County Grazing Exclusions

This law says that specific pieces of land in Trinity County are not allowed to be used mainly for grazing animals.

Key Takeaways

  • •The law names exact sections, quarters, and highway corridors that cannot be used mainly for grazing.
  • •Any land within 500 feet of each side of U.S. Highway 299 is also off‑limits for grazing.
  • •If you own or plan to use land in the listed areas, you must use it for something other than grazing.

Example

A rancher wants to let his cows graze on the land that includes Section 5, T. 33 N., R. 9 W.

Because the law lists that whole section as land that can't be devoted chiefly to grazing, the rancher would have to find another place for his cows.
