§ 14152 Qualified Applicator Certificate Application

This law tells you how to apply for, keep, and renew a qualified applicator certificate, including the forms, fees, and when the certificate expires.

Key Takeaways

  • •Use the specific form the director sets out and include your name, address, and any other required info.
  • •Pay the fee that the director decides on when you apply or renew.
  • •Your certificate ends on December 31 of the year it was issued.
  • •Renew before that date to avoid a penalty; renewing after the date adds an extra charge.

Example

A farmer wants a certificate to spray pesticides. He fills out the director‑approved form, puts his name and address on it, pays the required fee, and gets the certificate that lasts until December 31 of that year.

If the farmer renews before December 31, he just fills out the renewal form and pays the fee again. If he waits until after December 31, he still can renew but will have to pay a penalty.
