§ 14005 Restricted Material Regulations

This law says the director must write rules about how to keep and use any harmful material they discover, unless a special exception in another law applies.

Key Takeaways

  • •The director must make regulations for any harmful material they find.
  • •The rules cover how the material is possessed and used.
  • •If subdivision (d) of Section 14006.6 applies, the rule‑making requirement does not kick in.

Example

A factory finds a chemical that can kill fish in a nearby river.

The director has to create rules telling the factory how to store, handle, and maybe get rid of that chemical so it doesn't hurt the fish or the river.
