§ 12121 Pest Control Dealer Violations

This law says anyone who works as a pest‑control dealer must prove they’re qualified, keep the director updated on their address, follow all pesticide rules, and never lie on license papers or ads.

Key Takeaways

  • •You must show the director you’re qualified to be a pest‑control dealer.
  • •You must tell the director right away if you change your address or transfer ownership.
  • •You must follow all the pesticide rules in this chapter and Division 7.
  • •Don’t lie or hide important facts when applying for or renewing a license.
  • •Don’t make false or misleading statements or ads about pesticides or pest‑control methods.

Example

A pest‑control business moves to a new warehouse but never tells the director, and later advertises that its spray kills all bugs instantly, even though that claim is false.

Because the business didn’t notify the director of the address change and used a false advertisement, it would be breaking the law.
