§ 10383 Cattle Brucellosis Testing Requirements

• •Owners must let the department collect blood or milk samples from their cattle.
• •Owners must provide the space and tools needed for the sample collection.
• •Owners must give any other help the department asks for during the testing.

A farmer has a herd of cows in a county where brucellosis is being monitored. The state animal health department asks the farmer to collect milk from a few cows for testing.

The farmer must provide the place and equipment to get the milk samples and must help the department staff do the testing, just like the law says.
