§ 10355 Calf Vaccination Lien Enforcement

A farmer has a calf that the department vaccinates and tags. The department pays for the vaccine and then sends the farmer a bill for $50.

If the farmer doesn’t pay the $50 within 10 days after getting the written bill, the department can put a legal claim on the calf and take steps to collect the money, like selling the calf.
