§ 101 Food And Agriculture Department

• •A Department of Food and Agriculture is officially established.
• •The department becomes a part of the state government structure.
• •Its purpose is to handle food and farming matters for the state.

The state wants someone to check that farms are following safety rules, so it sets up a new agency to do that.

Because the law says the department exists, the state can assign people to inspect farms, help farmers, and make food safety rules.
