§ 6403 Nomination Paper Verification

Key Takeaways

  • •Your name on a nomination paper must match the handwriting on your voter registration.
  • •If you want to support a Republican candidate, you must say you are part of the Republican Party.
  • •If these rules aren't followed, your name will be marked 'not sufficient' and won't count.

Example

You sign a paper to help someone run for office, but your handwriting doesn't match your voter registration.

The elections office will say your signature doesn't count because it doesn't look like the one they have on file.
