§ 10243 Polling Place Board Presence

• •A majority (more than half) of precinct board members must be present.
• •They must stay there for the entire time the polling place is open.
• •If the board has an even number of members, the majority is one more than half.

A precinct board has five members. While the polling place is open, at least three of them must be there the whole time.

Because three is a majority of five, those three members have to be present from the moment the polls open until they close.
