§ 94929 Program Completion Rate Reporting

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools must report every year how many students finish their programs on time.
  • •They calculate this by dividing the number of students who finished on time by the total number of students who were supposed to finish.
  • •Schools can choose to use the government's way of calculating this instead of doing it themselves.

Example

A school has 100 students in a 2-year program. 70 students finish in 2 years, but 30 take longer or drop out.

The school must report that 70 out of 100 students finished on time, so their completion rate is 70%.
