§ 87106 Faculty Recruitment Equity Plan

(a) The board of governors shall develop systemwide strategies for encouraging community college students to become qualified for, and seek, employment as community college faculty or administrators. (b) The board of governors shall develop and disseminate to community college districts a model equal employment opportunity plan that accomplishes at least all of the following: (1) Compliance with the regulations adopted by the board of governors to implement this article. (2) Compliance with the other applicable state and federal nondiscrimination statutes. (3) Implementation of the best practices for improving the equality of opportunity. (4) Encouragement of districts to take steps reasonably calculated to inform their students about the opportunity to participate in the Graduate Assumption Program of Loans for Education authorized by Article 5.5 (commencing with Section 69618) of Chapter 2 of Part 42 and to participate in other programs developed by the board of governors pursuant to subdivision (a). (Repealed and added by Stats. 2002, Ch. 1169, Sec. 2. Effective January 1, 2003.)
