§ 8318 Contract Actions During Appeals

• •If a company is fighting a decision to end their contract, they can usually keep working during the fight.
• •But if the contract is ended immediately for serious reasons, they must stop working right away on the date given in the notice.
• •The rules about ending contracts quickly are in Sections 8315 and 8316.

A school hires a company to serve lunches, but the school wants to end the contract because the food is bad.

If the company says, 'Wait, let us fix it!' they can keep serving lunches while they argue. But if the school says, 'This is an emergency, stop now!' because kids got sick, the company must stop serving food right away on the date the school tells them.
