§ 8317 Preschool Contract Termination Rules

• •The state can't suddenly stop a preschool program without a good reason.
• •They have to give a warning at least 90 days before they stop the program.
• •There are some special cases where the rules are different (listed in Sections 8315 and 8316).

Imagine your kid's preschool is run by a contract with the state. One day, the state decides they don't want to pay for it anymore.

The state can't just stop the program right away. They have to have a good reason, like the preschool isn't following the rules. And they have to tell the preschool at least 90 days before they stop the program, so families have time to find another preschool.
